RIP Mr. Lee Kuan Yew

50 years ago you cried for Singapore, today the whole world cried for you...
You have been such a blessing to this wonderful country bringing it from a 3rd world to a 1st world - WORLD CLASS CITY aka garden city!!!

Although neither mr. Hubby nor I are Singaporean, but we have been living in Singapore for the past 7 years and have truly appreciated your fruits of labour...now our kids are also enjoying it too!!!
Was just commenting to mr. Hubby that no where else in the world can a mummy (that's me) along with my baby walking in the wee hours SAFELY with no sense of FEAR on the streets of Singapore and taking the public transportation CHEAPLY...

Our family felt honored and privileged to pay our last respect to you at the Parliment house COMFORTABLY all thanks to the tremendous effort of all the volunteers and of course the PRIORITY QUEUE for parents with kids in stroller (wheelchair, handicapped, etc)... We were in and out in 1.5 hrs as opposed to the 8hrs queue or being turned away as the queue had to be closed momentarily!

When I look around Singapore, I see your hard work has truly been paid off...
I cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH...
You have done Singapore PROUD!!!
May you Rest In Peace...

On a side note: mr. Hubby's bday is today and it has been truly a memorable birthday week/weekend for him as he has paid his respect to Mr Lee Kuan Yew not once but twice!
