Spread the LOVE project...

Out of all the gifts that I've won in giveaways, can I just say that this tops it the most!!!
*** not that I don't appreciate the rest coz we thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of it***

You will find out the reason why when you see the picture of it... it is HANDMADE with LOVE!!! A total of 3,600 pearls carefully placed with aeroplanes all around n then beautifully framed up (not forgetting, it came with a handmade note + card too).
We were given a few choices of cars, trucks, ball, etc...to choose from but this mummy chose aeroplanes in the hopes that baby Skye grows up to follow gong gong n Chiu chiu footsteps perhaps??? Lols...

A fellow mummy blogger came all the way from the north to the west with her beautiful daughter Ariel to hand deliver this present to me and baby skyler!!! N not forgetting she is preggie too...
***so nice, it warms my heart***

She is a fellow Singapore mummy blogger who is very well known in the blogging world... and I must say I have high regards for her as she blogs actively, runs her household, takes care of her 2 daughters n soon 3 kids, takes them out for FUN activities regularly, and mostly all these done by herself as she has no helper and her hubby works outstation sometimes. Really admire this supermom!!! N here I am trying to survive!!!
***sweats!!!***
***shame on me***
lets all "jia yu" together and enjoy our kids while we go on this journey called "motherhood" coz its soo worth while...
*** have to keep reminding myself that I'm blessed to be a SAHM and have a hubby as my support in every way!!!***

This present is the perfect belated 1 year old gift for baby Skye as we chose a picture of him taken around a year old...actually it was his passport pic...hehehe...
We did a personalised photo collage for baby SI when she turned one!!!
But then we somehow didn't do one for baby Skye...***ooopsss, 2nd child syndrome***

We are hoping to find a good spot to hang it... maybe next to jie jie Sienna photo collage picture!!! But Mr. Hubby has a thing with "no holes on the wall", the lesser the better... coz we thought we were temporary in Singapore, but it's been 7 years (5 yrs in our own place!!!)... time to get the hammer out???
For now, its placed up on our cabinet n can't stop smiling every time I glanced at it... jie jie Sienna saw it n immediately asked us to buy one for her...eeepppsss!!!

To summer Goh @ahappymum, thank you from the bottom of our hearts...
Xoxo, the Nagas...

Mr. Hubby chimed in saying, "great gift as our son can look back on over the years and enjoy!" <- very TRUE indeed

Incredible India

24-27 June 2015

Sorry for the delayed blog post (as usual)... Mr. Hubby took a while to upload pics to FB
***blame it on the hubs*** LOLs...

It's been almost 2 months now since our trip and my post pregnancy brains is kinda rusty now, so forgive me if this blog post seems vague! U can still ask me questions :)
It's my 3rd time to India now (but 1st time to Chennai)..and it was the kiddos first time :) so far, I've been fortunate to not get the "Delhi Belly" syndrome... maybe coz my stomach is made in Malaysia??? Lols ... but I was scared the kiddos sterilized stomach (thanks to Singapore), might easily catch the Delhi belly... but thank God all of us were well!!!

Delhi belly - "noun: Diarrhea or dysentery contracted from eating Indian (i.e., from India) food." <- source: www.urbandictionary.com

Places we covered in summary:
1st day: (Wednesday, early morning) first thing first when we arrived... after checking in, had a HUGE breakfast buffet n a quick nap, off we went for SHOPPING!!! ***No no, not for this mummy yeah... after having kids, this mummy is no longer a shopaholic*** can hear hubby singing "Hallelujah!!!" in the background...well, the kids needed an Indian costume for the wedding... so it was baby Skye first Indian outfit n baby Si's 2nd :) then we had dinner at a local eatery with yummy food...
Edited: okay I told a white lie, this mummy did shopped for myself... but it was out of necessity okayyyy!!! went to buy my "ready made" inner shirt to go along with my first Saree!!! ***can't wear a Saree without an inner right???*** Super excited to wear a Saree... have been bugging mr. Hubby even before marrying him that I wanted to wear a Saree for our wedding n do the whole BIG BOLLYWOOD wedding...hahaha...***watched too many bollywood movies perhaps???*** but ended up, I made ALL my bridesmaids wear Sarees instead...***bridezilla much???***

2nd day: after a late big breakfast buffet, we left for the wedding hall and there was an engagement ceremony.  We got to see all of mr.Hubby relatives...including the great grand father to baby Skye n baby Si...it was a precious moment as it was the first time meeting him!!! After the engagement, we were served snacks n then dinner (non stop good food at the wedding hall)... Then at night it was the reception where we took lots of pictures.

3rd day: we left very early in the morning (6am) to go to the official wedding ceremony. We were served breakfast n lunch there. After lunch, we came back to the hotel to get some rest, shower, changed and then went back to the wedding hall for a post wedding "games" ceremony.  By now skyler was so familiar with the place that he couldn't stop running around and playing with the other kids.

4th day: (sat night) spent a relaxing day n went to the mall nearby...coffee cafe hunting n loaded up on local Indian food. Cafes are everywhere in India as Indians LOVE their coffee... "coffee day" is their local version of Starbucks!!! Super cheap n good... tried their "devil's own" recommended by Mr. Hubby's  cousin...super sinful it was... it was more of a dessert tasting coffee with loads of whip cream, chocolate n coffee... the hubby who's not a fan of coffee liked it, so that goes to show that it was a dessert rather than coffee! I went back to my usual cappuccino n latte!!! Did some window shopping...surprisingly we didn't shop ANYTHING except for food for our stomachs... wanted to buy some casual Indian outfits but I changed my mind as I already have a few n won't be able to wear them much! Tried hunting for a supermarket to do my usual "supermarket sweep" (which I normally do on my last day) to fill up my empty luggages but couldn't find any!!!
Came back to the hotel, rested, packed n Off to the airport!!! Had our dinner at the airport (even though we were quite full) just coz we wanted to indulged in more yummy Indian food but ended up it was the worst meal we had in India!!! It was sooo bad that we didn't even finish it...***normally this momma don't like wasting food*** so far ALL the food we had in India was yummy till this very last meal...oh, what a bummer!!! Ended our trip on a bad note...but yeah, the more reason to plan for our next trip to India perhaps??? (P/s: updated: Mr. Hubby is off to India AGAIN in September to attend his cousin wedding...not the same cousin but his sister!!!) 2 weddings, same family, in a span of 3 months!

Mummy tips:
~ don't bother booking a bassinet from sg to India as there isn't one to be found due to it being a short flight...Lols...aircraft is a smaller one A321. N it's a short haul flight (4hrs).
~ we booked red eye flights for both ways... which helped A LOT as all of us were happily snoozing most of the way!!! and we were out and about the next day we arrived!
~ baby Skye did not have any ear pressure problem this time! (THANK GOD)! Now that baby Skye is on solid food, we offered both kiddos snacks n drinks throughout the flight (especially during take off n landing). Sienna was happily sucking on her lollipop. She knows to associate lollipops to treats going to the aeroplane n vaccinations...hahaha... ***am a bad mommy, depriving my kids of lollipops!!!***
~ public transport is SUPER NOT BABY friendly... most of the time we had a proper van ferrying us to n fro, our hotel to the wedding venue... but other times, we braved ourselves n took the auto rickshaw aka tuk tuk n held on for dear life!!! But sienna till this day is still talking about it n how she wants to go back to India to sit it... baby Skye (thank goodness) will just sit still n not fidget at all while taking in the sights, sounds n smells of India (mostly the traffic). A few kilometer on the roads felt like it took forever due to the traffic, condition of the roads, zigzagging, no highways, etc...
~ taxi ? Hmmmm, I've never seen any...checked with Mr. Hubby n he hadn't either. People either take the auto rickshaw aka tuk tuk for short distances or hired a private car/van with a driver.
~leave behind ur stroller!!! We brought just 1 stroller just in case as we knew indian weddings takes up the whole day n goes on for days!!! We attended the wedding for 3 days straight...stroller was needed for the kids to nap. N thank God, Sienna n Skyler took turns to nap in the stroller... (Sienna barely nap as she's at the age where nap is for the weak :p )
Only bring ur stroller if u intend to be stuck in shopping malls the whole day, every day... which I don't think u would want to ;)
~baby high chair??? Say what??? It does not exist in India... not that I have seen any!!!
~baby changing or nursing rooms??? Say what again??? Baby Skye is at the stage where he does not want to breastfeed when we are out n about!!! This busy body aka nosy baby gets soooo distracted that he doesn't think of (.)(.)!!! But whenever we had a few hours break, we would pop by our hotel for a quick power nap + breastfeed + diaper change! Also baby Skye usually goes poo poo once he wakes up in the morning :) TMI
But if needed, we changed their diapers in the toilets (standing position) now that baby Skye is walking! Do bring loads of pull up diapers!!! N wet wipes... yes wet wipes please!!! I didn't see any hand wash :( if can, a very small bottle of hand wash perhaps???
~no problems with baby food now that baby Skye is on SOLID FOOD... our hotel had the biggest breakfast buffet spread I have seen!!! It had both sections Indian vegetarian n Indian non vegetarian n not forgetting the salad bar, bread n cereal, omelette section. There even have ready to order Tiffin items!!!  The hotel staff were so friendly that they let us "tapao" pack some food for the kiddos - lunch settled :) the food at the wedding hall was sumptuous, serving us non stop breakfast, lunch, tea time snacks n dinner (free flow coffee n tea all throughout) but do note that it could be purely vegetarian n can be a tad spicy for the kiddos!!!
~didn't see any supermarkets nor 7-11 kinda shops. Mostly roadside shops where we bought only bottled waters!
~say yes to bottled water for everything!!! Including brushing teeth :) ur stomach will thank u for it...
~ we brought along loads of snacks n juices from home!!! Loaded up on fruits during the breakfast buffet ...

Note: asked Mr. Hubby (prior to the trip) if there were any touristy sites to visit nearby n the hubs said no!!! To recall from my previous trips to India, we didn't visit much touristy place (it was because of the lack of it)... only lots of temples if u are into temples n of course the famous Taj Mahal (which is on our bucket list - we have yet to visit that part of India)... but don't worry, the whole of India is a touristy sight which will leave you in awe!!! I have witness India (in a span of 5 Years) to be a lot cleaner, no more cows roaming in the cities, less public display of people doing their "business" openly, less beggers, etc...

"Incredible India!!! <-- indeed...

Overall, this trip was mainly to attend Mr. Hubby cousin's wedding and it was nice to see his side of the relatives again...and everyone got to meet Sienna and Skyler for the first time!!!

INDIAN Goodies... We brought back lots of Indian sweets (desserts) n savoury snacks (muruku)!!! Let me warn u that Indian sweets are the sweetest I have EVER tasted... but I have long ago found my fav, badusha!!! Less sweet compared to the rest of the Indian sweets but still considered very sweet to me... I can only manage to eat a few pieces even though its my fav :)

***hint hint to those travelling to India...hehehehe...***

Happy 40 mths old to baby Si and happy 18 mths old to baby Skye!!!

Happy 40 mths old to baby Si and happy 18 mths old to baby Skye!!!

(previous month's post <~ if u missed it!)

Here's our monthly family tradition of taking Polaroid pics.
Hopefully baby Si n baby skye pics will cheer up ur day!!!
It did cheer us up when snapping these pics... :)

Milestones reached:
.I can finally tell people that baby Skye is 1 and a 1/2 yrs old...instead of by months ;)
.baby Skye using both fork n spoon to feed him self
.baby Skye attended school for the first time...went to jie jie Sienna playgroup for the whole 2 hours for racial harmony day. Did not even cry... he loved it so much. Jie jie Sienna took good care of him n showed him the ropes!

.baby Si requested that she doesn't want to wear diapers anymore when we are out (coz she says she's a big girl!!) ... previously, we still put on diapers when we are going out for long trips as there isn't any toilets in the mrt aka trains! Also when I'm out solo parenting with the 2kids, its just easier!!! So we have always insisted she put on her diapers when we are out n about. #throwback to baby SI being potty trained at 22months???
.baby Si also requested that she doesn't wanna sit her stroller anymore (again, coz she's a big girl now)...previously, we made her sit her stroller as it's faster pushing her n plus she gets tired especially when its nap time! But nowadays, nap times are non existent when we are out!!! Also when it gets crowded...people might knock into her...
Kudos to baby Si coz we were out from 10am till 9pm...going from clementi to Clarke quay (The central), bras basah (Singapore arts museum, national museum), POMO, plaza singapura, n back to clementi!!! ***Phewwww, this mummy's leg almost turned jelly*** but baby Si survived without once complaining nor asking to be carried...and kudos to being diaperless coz she didn't wet her pants either !!!
.baby Si going no1 aka pee pee all by herself (from start to finish) with the help of the stool minus the flushing part!!!

Lucky no 33!!!

Was looking through my blog and noticed that I have done bday shoutouts for gong gong, po po, Mr.hubby, kiddos, etc...but none about yours truly...

So this year being the only year I get to celebrate 33...I will make a blog post about my bday!!! Why so special, one might ask? Nothing actually but 3 has been my fav number ever since growing up...maybe cause I was always third place in primary n secondary school academically...(yes, they do rank you in schools in Malaysia) n maybe running as well...yes, I ran short, long, group, etc
Oh yeah and I'm 3rd born in the family too!!!

Ok back to my bday...
Woke up way too early by baby Si...yes, once she wakes up, she declares that the whole world MUST wake up including her di di skyler n yours truly... (thought this mummy could sleep in..think long long!!! Hahaha)

Was greeted by a lovely bday song by Mr. Hubby n the kiddos...(3 different versions)
English, Christian "God is blessing you now" n Mandarin...daddy has yet to teach the kiddos the Tamil version?

Then sienna had our mummy-daughter convo that truly made my day!!!

Baby Si: When I am bigger, I want to be a stewardess just like mummy!!! Then when I'm older, I want to be a MUMMY...

this mummy: Awwww...proceeded to give baby Si lots of hugs n kisses ***almost tearing up***

Such a great "lift me up" on my special day...makes me think being a SAHM was the right choice for me :)  n made it so worth while...

It was truly MY KIND of day well spent with my loved ones...it doesn't matter if the laundry is calling my name, house in a mess, dishes piling up,  etc...I used to be OCD that I can't even stand hairs on the floors...(anyone has the same problem???) or maybe it's just me....***hint hint to Mr. Hubby to get me a robot vacuum perhaps???*** but now I just close 1 eye or 2...or wait till sienna tells me to clean it...(which isn't long as she's also like mummy)...

ALL these CAN WAIT as this momma is having an OFF day!!! No cooking either... plus, I get to pick n eat ALL my fav food... n this mummy got a GOOD massage from Mr.hubby and mini massages from the kiddos...

P/s: my bday celebrations to be continued as its a longggg weekend. Mr. Hubby's treat awaits...but hopefully won't be photo-spamming too much anymore!!!

"Selamat Hari Raya" to all my Muslim friends...safe travels to those travelling!

Follow the rest of my day thru the pics below: Copied n pasted from my Instagram/facebook pics updates today!

My birthday is getting on to a good start with #homedelivery of my fav #ayampenyet all the way from #nus (thanks to a good friend, Elly)...used to eat this everyday when I was preggy with Sienna #justsaying #notpregnant #twoisenough ... no curry sauce but #extrachilli!!! Just the way I liked it

Savouring or devouring every bite of our yummy #dessert!!! #DURIANS!!!(Need to cool down after the spicy #ayampenyet) mummy n skyler's fav...too bad jie jie #siennaskyler is in playgroup

Everyone feeding mummy #frenchfries or feeding themselves???hmmmm....#canYouGuess

Ending my day, high on #SUGAR!!!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes on FB...sorry I got my hands FULL, but I truly appreciate every single #birthdayWish ... n sorry for #photoSpamming but hey, cut me some slack, its #myBirthday!!!

Happy 39mths old to baby Si and happy 17 mths old to baby Skye!!!

Happy 39mths old to baby Si and happy 17 mths old to baby Skye!!!
(previous month's post <~ if u missed it!)

Here's our monthly family tradition of taking Polaroid pics.
Hopefully baby Si n baby skye pics will cheer up ur day!!!
It did cheer us up when snapping these pics... :)
Milestones reached:
.baby Skye walking backwards on his own
.baby Skye running...well more like jogging on slow mode. He "runs" with both hands stretched out as if trying to balance....cute!!!
.baby Skye insists on self feeding n drinking by himself. He would climb the stool n grab a spoon or fork when food is ready. He would rather not eat if I feed him. So i let him self feed, then I secretly feed him in between while he gets messy n distracted with food!!!
.baby Skye has a fascination with spoons...not just any spoon but must be stainless steel. He walks around holding his spoon. To the point he grips it to sleep as well. He now knows to climb the stool n takes the spoon by himself...sometimes a pen will do. Patti (Mr.hubby mom) joked that he might have been born with a silver spoon...
.baby Skye knows to throw tantrum!!! He is very persistent to the point that he will cry n whine n lay down on the floor...oh boyyyy!!!!
Sienna only did that once she turned 3!!!
.Plays peekaboo
Now that he knows how to walk, he will follow jie jie sienna n hide behind the wall pillars downstairs! He shrieks when I find him! N then runs away when I try to catch him n proceeds to hide again...
Jie jie sienna loves playing as well...just imagine the screams
.weight 9.3kg, 78cm (during his check up on 18 June)
.meeting his half Korean cousin ha min for the 1st time
.meeting "tatta" n "Patti" <-- grandfather and grandmother in Tamil ( Mr.hubby parents) for the 1st time

.baby Si finally is 12kg. For the longest time (more than a year?) she was at 11kg static...
.baby SI at 90cm...time to get a MRT card for the not so little one!!! But kids still travel FREE up till age 7
.baby Si no longer able to watch movies at the cinemas for free once she is above 90cm!

.baby Si n Skye first time to India!!! (Will blog about this soon...hopefully)

Click here ->>> Throwback baby Si's 17mths!
If u click the link, it will take you to the milestone of baby Si where she self weaned herself from (.)(.) at 17 months old...
Glad this time, we don't have to worry about weaning baby Skye from (.)(.) breastfeeding as this momma's has officially "close shop" aka "factory shutdown"!!!
Will "jia you" and continue breastfeeding as long as I can or as long as Baby Skye wants...it's a "love-hate" relationship I have with breastfeeding, (as he's still waking up ever so often n using me as a pacifier) but I keep telling myself, since this will be my last breastfeeding kid, I will "jia you" aka "add oil"!!!
To all breastfeeding mommies out there, lets "Gambahteh" together!!!

Pic below: (before India trip)... packing Chinese kids with yummy snacks!!!

Pic below: (after India trip) unpacking Indian kids with their new toys and new Indian outfits!!! Thanks to mr. Hubby's relatives :)

Terrariums??? What is it...hint: not a dinosaur species!!!

I have to admit that I have actually never heard of Terrariums until just a few months back when I just happened to click thru it...tks to instagram feeds!!!

But to actually make my own terrarium??? Even better!!! Well, to be honest, I didn't make one as I was busy having my hands full making sure baby skyler wasn't putting sand n rocks in his mouth n making sure he didn't fall down from his chair... thank God he didn't!!! He was keeping himself busy mixing sands and playing "masak masak" and copying jie jie sienna!!! "Monkey see, monkey do!!!"

But jie jie sienna did make her own terrarium thanks to the guidance of the wonderful people at the plant story
and Actualyse!!!
Don't worry too much of ur 3 year old breaking the glass or throwing sand into the air...its part n parcel of learning hands-on n having fun while at it... this mummy was all tense n my OCD was on high alert when I saw sienna mixing the colored sands together!!! NOOooooo...****gasps***
I just took a deep breath n let her do her own thing!!! ***breath in, breath out***
(Side note: this is the reason why her playdough given to sienna by her friend for her 3 yr BDAY is still sitting nicely in the box)

Sienna's terrarium turned out pretty terrific...its perfect for Singapore (minimal living space and having a non existent garden), terranium is the perfect solution! Mini garden in our own home!!! Sienna calls it our pretend garden...

It's nice to see her get excited over every process of making it. She nurtures it everyday... sings n talks to it!!! She even reminds me "check" n to "water" it...           (Reminder: that keeping Terrariums is low maintenance n watering is not really needed)

This act of "love" shown by sienna reminds me of myself, being a parent...the act of nurturing my 2 babies!!!

This is also in line with one of actualyse core values "Nurturing Diversity"

Meeting my celebrity crush VB :)

This mummy had the privilege to meet my celebrity crush, Victoria Beckham in PERSON!!!
VB launched her new nail polish line called Nails Inc at sephora, Ion Orchard.
Looking back at the pictures we took, I realised that her outfit she wore matched the colors n design of sephora!!! How apt??? Or coincidental? Or maybe VB stylist was just too good...

While circling around the crowd in sephora to get a closer View of VB, I passed backstage and guess who I spotted??? KEN paves (used to be Jessica Simpson's bff and personal hairstylist) *** guess who's been watching wayyy too much reality shows??? Pre-kids of course!!!  ***
Now he's VB current bff n personal hairstylist...

Since it was an all girls event invite, mr. Hubby couldn't go on behalf of me!
But he was nice enough to accompany me and babysat the kids outside...he also had the privilege to see her walked in and walked out. What shocked us all was the spontaneity that VB showed to the crowd waiting outside by asking if they wanted a quick group picture :) Just imagine the crowd went wild...
Well, there wasn't much of a crowd since it was not a publicized event and more of a closed event!

Not only did I get to meet an international sensation but a local one as well...Onn Shu An! Been following her and watching her "Tried n Tested" YouTubes... She's one hot spicy bubbly local celebrity... Would term her as a "chilli padi" - tiny but fiery!!!

Great once in lifetime opportunity, n I'm glad I got to witness it!!!
Hats off to this super hot momma for being such an inspiration to all mummies...a hands on mummy, entrepreneur, globe trotter,fashionista,etc...of coz she has many hands helping her!!! But in order to wear so many hats at once n being able to switch on n off is a tough job (mentally) as physically...kudos!!!

Pic below: selfie wt my celebrity crush...
p/s: I looked like a stalker
By the way no cameras were allowed but who could resist??? EVERYBODY was clicking away...
