Xmas indeed came early when my lovely santa friend came back fr the states bearing yummy gifts!!!
She said it's to satisfy my craving... But in actuality it's for mr. Hubby!!! He's been craving this ever since we moved to Singapore!!! He eats it more now than when he was in the States... I guess it brings back memories of eating good yummy fatty rich American food ;)
Thanks lovely Santa for the early Xmas present ;)
Note: I bet it will be gone by the time Xmas arrives... Hehehee... Xmas is a time to indulge in good fattening food!!! Then new yrs, then Chinese new yr, and so on... Oh well, every excuse to have good eats!!!
Caution: These are ADDICTING!!!
I sneak to eat some during my night duties (.)(.) ... But I try to stay away from them!!! THATS how much I LURVEEEE mr. Hubby...
Oh and this pic is an older pic of baby Si and Esther... Don't have a recent one :p
Much has changed since this photo was taken.

New home for baby Si hairclips!!!
This Mummy has her creative juices flowing...
I was just about to throw away the junk that came in the mail (2014 calendar)... Who uses calendar nowadays??? When we are glued to iPad, laptop, phones which easily displays the date!
So I was about to throw the calendar away when this mummy thought of something creative to do with it!
Mummy's motto, "REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!!!"
And to make matters worst, baby Si's hair clips have been lying all over the house and even found one in her diaper bag, under the couch, next to the bed, etc...
So in less than 30 mins, the 2014 calendar is now home to baby Si's hairclips!!! Easy peasy...
All u need is:
• a calendar (duh!)
• some recycled ribbons that I used before when I did mr. Hubby diaper cake (might blog about this one day-too lazy & lack of time to blog about what's passed :p)
• leftover gift wrapper
• tape
Once completed, u can personalize it by adding your own creativity... I added some birds that I previously made (for mr. Hubby's diaper cake) and some bows...
If this mummy can do it, u can too!
Mind u, there's much more space!!! Both front n back can be used...
Now time to add to baby Si hair clips collection!!! Who wants to sponsor??? Hee hee hee... Mummy's excuse to go "window" shopping :)
Do u have any SIMPLE ideas u would like to share?

Baby Si baby dedication this sat!!!
This might be the most exciting time for me n mr. Hubby ever since baby Si was born. As we will be dedicating our precious baby Si to our Creator, our Lord Jesus Christ... And also for blessing us to be responsible parents to our wonderful baby Si...
One might ask, what is a baby dedication?
A Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways. And not according to our own ways.
Karthik and I hope and pray to be responsible parents by making this promise to the Lord to do everything within our power to raise baby Si in a godly way, prayerfully until she can make a decision on her own to follow God.
Do join us as we celebrate this joyous celebration at Singapore Expo, City Harvest Church this Saturday at 5pm or if u are overseas u too can join in to this event by watching it live at 5pm Singapore time.

Happy Diwali aka deepavali !!!
Exposing baby Si to her other side of her race ;)
"Diwali is a five day event and the revelers make the most of the five days of festivities in the Karthik month, which is considered to be the most sacred month of the year." - taken fr the web
So baby Si will be celebrating Diwali in her daddy's (karthik) month... Hehehehe... I'm pretty sure her daddy didn't know that his name is the most sacred month of the year :)
Well not that our family celebrate this religious day as we are Christians... But it's nice to expose baby Si to different cultures especially this one as she's half Indian too :)
Daddy is a potato (white on the inside and brown on the outside)
Mummy is a banana (white on the inside and yellow on the outside)
Baby Si better not turn out to be a potato-nana!!! Gaggagagahahaha...
Note: surprised hubby by lighting up the bedroom with tea light candles as deepavali is a festival of lights!!! Sorry got hubby hopes up, no romantic dinner :p
Ok now I'm hungry, where's my muruku???
One of the pic that is of good quality was taken using our pro camera (which mr. Hubby was so excited to transfer the pics to upload to his FB)... The other poor quality ones are from my trusty iPad...

Gong gong in the house!!!
First it was po po, now gong gong!!!
Baby Si still remembers the familiar voice and smell of gong gong...she warmed up to gong gong immediately...
It was her afternoon nap time but decided it wasn't time to sleep yet as she knew gong gong was coming late afternoon... Mummy has been telling baby Si the whole day that gong gong is coming ;) baby Si was excited the whole day as gong gong was entertaining her *or was it the other way round? baby Si entertaining gong gong?* she must have been exhausted coz she knocked out as soon as it was her bed time...
Gong gong, When shall we get our tea "fix" at toastbox??? Heheheh....

Milestone reached
6 1/2 months
• play with both hands simultaneously, passing objects back and forth. better at coordination. Using all hands and foot together holding objects.
• babbling nonstop - first word was mama at 4 1/2 months, soon followed by dada and now PAPA and NANA...Now we lost track as she's babbling nonstop!!!
*We do have a talkative one here... Who did baby Si take after... Mummy or daddy???*
• sit up by herself UNSUPPORTED
• able to walk a few steps with support
• rolling aggressively from one end of the bed to the other.
• finally played her rubber duckie in her bath tub with both hands n cried when bath time was over. (normally she would have one hand gripped to the bathtub)
Cute note:
baby Si wakes up very early 7 or 8 am, (since this mummy is a nite owl, and having to wake up every 2-3 hrs to feed throughout the nite), mummy will be zombiefied when mornings come... But every morning without fail she would wake up and poke my eye (one side) gently, to check if I'm awake. Mummy will pretend to be asleep, baby Si will continue playing, entertaining n talking to herself. 5 mins later, poke mummy again n repeat all over again!!! Till mummy finally wakes up ;)
For her bedtime routine, mummy n daddy will kiss baby Si both eyes and say "nite nite"... She will put her head towards our head, close her eyes and "manja" us. And down goes her head and ready to sleep. She will also wiggle her body till she is touching mummy. (body heat n familiar smell makes her feel secure)
