Happy 19 months baby Si!!!

Baby Si turned 19 months on 6th nov 2013!!! Which is today....yeayyyy!!! 

(18 months old post <~ if u missed it)

Sadly, we decided to stop doing our monthly family tradition of taking Polaroid pics 

(running out of fridge space to display her pics...)

18 mths was the last one and a good place to stop...so to be continued once baby KarMie#2 arrives...stay tuned!!!

Milestones reached:

. can wear and take out her own shoes

. Say big words like "playground", "bicycle", "exercise", "container", "alamak" but still struggling to say her name "sienna"... She calls herself as nana!

. can say poo poo coming!!! time for mummy to start potty training? *lazy mode* but need to start before baby KarMie2 arrives..since baby Si poo poos 3-5 times a day!!!

. Can use a fork on her own to eat cut fruits

. Can sing happy birthday!!! In her soft singing voice...

Thanks to uncle viswanadhan and aunty geetha (karthik's sister's in laws) for baby Si first Indian outfit...

Baby Si liked it so much that she was dancing in front of the mirror and prancing around showing off her dress very proudly when we were out n about... 

We celebrated deepavali by eating Indian food the whole day!!! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper...

Mr. Hubby was a happy man..."happy belly, happy hubby"!!! And this mummy n baby KarMie#2 were also happy customers as I found the best Briyani in Singapore so far... It comes with "melt in your mouth" mutton and the spicyness level was just right for me which was SPICY!!! And best of all, it is nearby our house! Double, triple yeayyyy!!! 

Was reminiscing with mr. Hubby and still remember the best Briyani we had was in USA...downtown Indiana and not to forget our friend (kas and niaz) home cooked one... 

But I still heard comments from friends that the BEST of the BEST can be found in LOndon...excuse to go to London, mr. Hubby??? So funny that I've been all over the world but have not had the chance to tour London? Just made a pitstop for a few hours there :(

Can't wait to go there once the "babies" are bigger and this mummy n daddy can go on a longggg getaway!!!

Baby KarMie#2 is a Boy? Girl? Boy? Girl? Boy? Girl?

I am officially in my 3rd trimester!!! no more HONEYMOON trimester :( (2nd trimester is alwiz the best)

You guys must be wondering why we haven't posted any updates for the past month? What more the gender of baby KarMie#2???

Well, me n baby Si have been hibernating at po po and gong gong's house in Malaysia for the past month while mr. Hubby was off to Europe and USA for his business trip + holiday to visit his parents, sister and new niece!!!

Being in Malaysia is bad bad bad for this mummy! Coz the past 2 times I have been back, I have gained too much weight in too short of a time!!! My gynae knows right away every time I visit Malaysia just by looking at my weight gain...

As for the gender, we were suppose to find out at our last checkup but baby KarMie#2 was too "shy"!!!

So after the longgggg awaited time, we finally rushed to see my gynae as soon as I got back to Singapore! And guess what we are having??? Baby Si will be getting a baby BROTHER!!! *yeay*

But not to get overly excited yet as my gynae said he is only 80% sure as the umbilical cord was in the way!!! But for this mummy n daddy, 80% sure is good news to our ears!!! 

So how did we celebrate this joyous occasion? We went out and got a cake from "Awfully Chocolate"! Not just any ordinary cake but a sinfully delicious one (mocha fudge supreme using Nescafé dulce gusto coffee)...it was more for "me" than for "us"! This mummy got to indulged in lots of coffee cake!!!

I guess we have to start thinking of BOY names? There isn't many BOY names which sounds nice and starts with the letter "S"???

Any suggestions?

Guess who came to visit baby sienna???
A lil rap from mr. Hubby:
"Si-enna is going to see-anna (anna is brother in Tamil but in this case it would be COUSIN brother)"

This is the first time aunty sathya and her son Kiran are meeting baby Si!!! Well actually aunty sathya did meet baby Si when baby Si was 2 months in my belly - during our trip to visit mr hubby's family in the USA last year!

Now it's their turn to visit us here in singapore... They came from USA to INdia to spend time with relatives and now they are here in Singapore for 2 weeks :) they came bearing gifts for baby Si!!! And baby Si got her first Indian outfit - Kerala's special costume!
Can't wait till baby Si is big enuff to fit into the beautiful outfit and mummy can't wait to dress her up to be an Indian girl :) maybe then she will look more Indian than Chinese!

This mummy blogger will be busy these next weeks as we are busy going places n being tour guides! So far we've gone to Port of Lost Wonder waterpark in sentosa- very friendly for toddlers n kids. It was little Kiran's first time in the water n he loved it, Little India-to get yummy Indian food, bugis street-cheap shopping, river cruise at Clarke Quay, vivocity-shopping mall, pass by orchard street (too crowded to get down-it's tough with 2 babies n 2 strollers)

We are planning to go to newly opened Gardens by the Bay-the largest indoor garden in the world! Not sure where else to go yet as we have to think of kid friendly places... Maybe the zoo or bird park or night safari? Universal studios will not be suitable for toddlers...

Being a mum now, it's a totally different perspective! Have to think of kid friendly places as opposed to just going on our whims and fancies!

Xmas came early!!! Gifts fr UsA

Xmas indeed came early when my lovely santa friend came back fr the states bearing yummy gifts!!!
She said it's to satisfy my craving... But in actuality it's for mr. Hubby!!! He's been craving this ever since we moved to Singapore!!! He eats it more now than when he was in the States... I guess it brings back memories of eating good yummy fatty rich American food ;)

Note: I bet it will be gone by the time Xmas arrives... Hehehee... Xmas is a time to indulge in good fattening food!!! Then new yrs, then Chinese new yr, and so on... Oh well, every excuse to have good eats!!!

Goodies and haul from MEHICO and US of A!!!...

Okayy okayyy i know that i mentioned in my first blog post that this blog will be mainly about baby Si, but i cant help it if some posts are about KarMie (karthik & jamie...The parents of the adorable baby Si.... Remember us???). Afterall, this blog's website is named as www.KarMie080808.blogspot.com. So please bear with me (sorry no baby Si pics in this post) also any guesses why 080808????

Ok back to this post...
Mr. hubby just got back from a month's long business trip from Ayacarambaaaa Mexico!!! (btw, I wonder if I have readers from mexico? Or mexicans?)
Minus 1 week in "kampung" USA...mr. hubby's hometown! So before every trip, mr. Hubby will ask what wifey wants *Awwww, so sweet*... So the standard wifey answer will be FOOD... I miss all of US junk food (thus the weight gained when I was in the US for 6 yrs <- will blog about this sometime in the future)...
Didn't bother asking mr hubby for clothes shopping since mr. Hubby is not the fashionista in the family... *coughs coughs* *points finger to self*

So here's the food haul from USA...
Thank u Tata (karthiks dad) and patti (karthiks mum) for all the goodies...

And chocs and nuts from MEXICO!!!

Also mr. Hubby never fails to "ta pao" food for wifey (+baby Si) whenever he touches down at changi airport!!!
And it will alwiz be from TCC... Chocolate fudge cake + expresso frappe (for wifey+ baby Si) + oreo choc frappe (for mr. Hubby)... Didn't manage to get pics of the drinks as we gulped it down like water!!!

I wished mr hubby had more luggage space... 1 hand carry, 1 laptop bag and 1 check in bag??? Since when UNITED is down to 1 check in bag??? I don't remember it being 1 during my traveling days to the states!!! It used to be 2 just like any other full fare airlines!!! Downgrade to budget? Even jetstar (my former company) is better... Hahahha... Ok let's not get me started on this!!! UNITED, u just stole 1 check in bag of my resse buttercup, cookies, pecan Sandies, salt n vinegar chips, etc imaginary junk food!!!!!!!! And Baby Si is all mad she dont get to eat all these!!! Hhhmmmppphhh.....

Note: UNITED lost mr. Hubby 1 and only check in bag...and only arrived the next day. To think that my goodies almost didn't make it home?
