Happy 46 mths old to baby Si and happy 2 years old to baby Skye!!!

***yes a VERY delayed post as baby Skye turned 2 years old on 31 January!!! We've been SUPER busy these past few months...can't reveal anything yet...***keeping suspense*** Lols!!!
But hint hint: Feels more stressful than planning my own wedding n getting married!!! ***

Nevertheless...

Happy 46 mths old to baby Si and happy 2 years old to baby Skye!!!

Here's our monthly family tradition of taking Polaroid pics.

By the way, this will be our LAST Polaroid pics since we just ran out of Polaroid films n we have since bid farewell to our beloved Polaroid camera to a new owner!!! 
It has served us well for the past almost 4 years with lots of wonderful pictures n memories...

It's also the perfect timing to stop jotting down the kids milestones (bittersweet moment) as Skyler is at the age (above 2) where he has met most of his baby stages milestones!!! 
***sob sob*** my baby-ish baby Skye has grown up...  :’-(

Since it was our last few Polaroid pics, we went against our monthly family tradition of just taking pics of the 2 kiddos... this momma decided to include mummy n daddy ~ thus our 1st n last Polaroid family wefie...

Milestones reached:

Skyler~
.Teething ~ 4 more teeth sprouting out (making it a total of 16!!! 8 top, 8 bottom)
Baby Skye does not "teeth" well... he gets fever every time, have a hard time sleeping as he gets discomfort n feels pain!!! Oh boy did he use me as his pacifier ...so polar opposites with baby Si where there weren't any signs of her teething at all!!! She breezed thru it...

.say "pao pao" and puts his hand on his stomach to indicate full after eating too much! ~ update : he can say lots of words now including "papa", "more", "po po", "gong gong", etc... he says "anh" for "Dzao-anh" = good morning!!! He says only the back portion...

.scooter ~ he one day decided to get on the scoot n scoot by himself!!! But so far he prefers holding the handles n "walk" with it instead of scooting!

.understand instructions n is well aware of his surroundings. He will bring clean clothes to mummy after my shower, throw his diapers n put his dirty clothes in his laundry basket, etc...

.first time being sent to the notty room just cause he threw a tantrum for not sharing two rubberbands with jie jie... he went on and on n hyperventilate!

.train to sleep without mummy (trying to wean him off night breastfeeding as he still wakes up ever so often during the night ~ at times using me just as a pacifier) but this got put on hold and everything got reverted back as we had visitors staying with us for 2 weeks...***this momma is zombified ~ haven't had a good night sleep ever since the kiddos were born... I need my beauty sleep back***

.upgraded from a finger toothbrush to a real big boy toothbrush!

.fear of buttons just like jie jie...hoping this phase will pass by real quick as all of baby Skye's "going out" aka "kai kai" clothes are with buttons!!! And he will soon outgrow it but yet he only wore most of it a few times!!!

Sienna~

.started sending her to Chinese tuition class once a week for an hour and she loves it!

.able to recognize Chinese characters just after 3 lessons in Chinese tuition class

.able to write all her numbers

.able to tie things with rubber band...learnt it herself. (Not perfect yet but good enough)

.able to button her shirt

.basic math - add n subtract

.Bid farewell to her baby cot that she has been sleeping on for the past 2 years (since baby Skye was born)... can't believe she could still fit into it n still happy to sleep in it!

Skye n Si ~

.went on their 1st long distance bus ride (4 hours total) from Singapore to melaka!!! No ipads... no phones but definitely snacks n singing songs to keep them busy... they slept mostly (thank God) since we woke up at 6.30am... well the big comfy reclining seat helped too. Mummy n daddy were happily snoring too! yayyy to more road trips!!! ***this momma got worried the night before for no reasons***

***Sorry for the delayed post as mummy, Sienna and baby Skye are ill (still recovering) after coming back from hangzhou China n Malaysia over the holiday season!!! The only healthy one and holding the fort is daddy aka Mr. Hubby***

In case, you might be wondering, those are stickers stucked on them... I guess the kiddos came up with their own theme for this month's Polaroid photoshoot.

This momma was thinking more of a Xmas-sy theme (I guess our small little Xmas tree didn't make an appearance this year and stayed in its box)

Usually I don't take behind the scenes photos, but they went sticker crazy n Sienna started making silly faces...so here are some of the few crazy shots taken!!!

Milestones reached:

Skyler~

.Missed his first nap n wasn't cranky at all... we were out the whole day to a meet and greet session with Santa Claus for Xmas at Clark quay central n when we came back baby Skye was still up n about being his active self. Usually he will be knocked out when the excitement is over and on our way home.

.Scared of the big statues, big size things (in 

this case it was Santa Claus) yet again! Maybe this was the reason he missed his nap...Lols! Baby Skye was traumatized by the big dude with white hairy beard...

.Able to jump with both feet off the ground... previously he thinks he's jumping by just lifting both his hands up while imitating jie jie Sienna jumping.

.14Dec - pointed to his diaper n indicated he wanted to poo poo (with his poo poo face) n did his 1st big business in the toilet... but so far, its only a one off thing!

.first daddy-son date...at HOME!!! Hehehe.... does that consider as a date? They spent a quiet relaxing time bonding at home...while mummy - daughter had their 1st date (see "Sienna" section below)

.baby Skye attended his 1st play gym class at "The little gym Singapore" and he was instantly hooked on it... he just loved everything about it... monkeying around on the monkey bars, kicking balls, doing flips, etc! 

.1st time stepping foot into the land of China (hangzhou)!!! Will blog about this soon, hopefully...

.1st time experiencing winter... it was freezing cold in hangzhou but this boy refused to wear his boots, gloves, hat, ear muffs!!! His hands were freezing but he was still acting "cool"...Demands to take off his jacket once we were indoors...indeed a HOT BLOODED boy!!!

Unfortunately he wasn't able to experience a SNOWY WHITE winter.

P/s: the one on the left didn't tag along!!! But she had lots of fun (as always) with po po n gong gong in Malaysia...

Sienna~

.1st mummy-daughter date and it couldn't have been a more appropriate one watching Cinderella the MUSICAL... we both loved it so much! And ended the day with a foot massage with my little one intensely learning about the art of massage. It was such an awesome, relaxing date just going out with my 1st born... no tantrums, no changing diapers, no feeding, no breaking up of fights, etc! U get the picture... I even commented after stepping out from the house for 5 mins..."so easy???"

. Sienna has finally gotten over her fears of big hairy people especially those with beards!!! Letting Santa Claus carry her was quite a surprised to this momma... Not kidding... or perhaps Santa Claus is an exception since he comes bearing gifts...

Skye n Si ~

.meeting Santa Claus for the 1st time!!!

.this momma had her first "me" time full day break and daddy babysat both Skye and Si from 10.30am till 6.30pm!... attended "Influence Asia event".
Correction update: 2nd time...1st time was attending the nuffnang blogger conference ...
I'm surprised Baby Skye went that long without (.)(.) and he did well!!! He nap without having to be nursed at home...Usually only when we are out and about, he's able to fall asleep without being nursed...either in his stroller or being carried!!!
Previously, i just made at most a 2-3 hours run to get a facial, hair or massage!

Skyler~
.ditched his high chair (it's been a few months now but this mommy forgot to jot down). Now the high chair is sitting in the corner collecting dust turning into a white elephant...Time to bless it away!!!
Baby Skye insists to sit on my lap during meal times n sometimes will eat my spicy sauce, chili sauce, curry, etc! He does love spicy stuff just like his mommy... his tolerance to spiciness is higher than his jie jie...

.finally broke the 10kg mark... he's at 10.4kg now ... this momma is a happy momma...

.he's a gentleman!!! Knows to make sure he pulls down my shirt after he's done with his mummy's (.)(.) milk

.2 more teeth sprouting out (making it a total of 12!!!)

Sienna~
.able to fix up her first jigsaw puzzle on her own (the puzzle being her fav FROZEN princess Anna n Elsa did helped) !!! She surprised us one day as she went into the room n asked daddy to opened up one of her unopened gifts...n then continued to fix it on her own... it was her first puzzle she has ever played!!!

.able to recognize numbers in Chinese characters!!! Wowwww... this mummy got a shocked when I so happened to peep into her playgroup and saw her yelling out the numbers in Chinese as the teacher flashes the cards (and mind you, as I paid closer attention, it wasn't even in sequence!!!) she was the only one who could do it...***proud momma moment*** I wonder what else is she learning in school that I am not aware of*** sienna would have to teach her "banana" mummy how to speak, read n soon write Mandarin!!!

Skye n Si ~
.able to do yoga? Downward dog pose! Something that this momma can never be able to master... #downwarddogpose ... not sure where #siennaskyler got this gene from!!! Not from daddy @karthik_naga either 

.met lots of famous local celebrities especially from their favourite shows such as tanglin and lion moms!!! Bloggers such as xiaxue and qiuqiu!!! And Alaric from the noose...

.met Mickey, Minnie, Donald duck, Alvin n the chipmunks for the first time... baby Skye still has a phobia of big size things, statues, etc!

.went to their first circus... not the normal kiddy kind of circus but the extraordinaire TOTEM cirque du soleil!!! How fortunate are they...n they thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it...they sat on their seats the ENTIRE TIME ... over time, I have noticed that my kids super love any kind of show performances!!!
