Happy 13 months old baby Si!!!

Baby Si turned 13 months on 6th may 2013!!!
(1 year old post <~ if u missed it)

Here's our monthly family tradition. Okayyyyyy I told myself that we should stop the Polaroid pics at 1 year old but oh well, we still have a few more packets of Polaroid films...so I guess we'll keep this monthly tradition going till the films run out :p

Hopefully baby Si pics will cheer up ur day!!! It did cheer us up when snapping these pics... :)

Milestones reached:
By now, baby Si is talking way too much and understanding many words! So this mummy has lost track of it... I guess from now onwards, mummy will only record down those MAJOR milestones...

But here's a funny story (hopefully will cheer up ur day)...
Baby Si's favorite word is "baby" and she says it loud and clear!
So the other day me n baby Si were in the MRT (train) minding our own business when as usual when baby Si sees another baby, she will point and say BABY loudly and many many times!!!
But this time it's actually not a baby but a 5? yrs old boy...and baby Si almost got into a huge argument and almost made the boy cry! She kept pointing and saying baby to that boy! Oh boy!!!
And the boy replied back, "I'm not a baby!"
Baby Si, "baby...BABY....BABBBBBYYYYYYY!!!"
The boy, "no no no...(while turning to his mom)... I'm not a baby...I'm a big boy!"
Baby Si, "baby...baby...baby..."
Boy: "I'm not a baby...YOU the baby!!!...*looks at his mummy* and said "right mummy???"
*faints*!!! This mummy had to stop baby Si by explaining to her...while onlookers were smiling...
Thank goodness their stop was coming up! So the boy left grumpily...
But this mummy was secretly being happy as my baby "bullied" a big boy *smirks*....while Justin bieber's song, "Baby, baby, baby OHHHH" is playing in my head... LOL...

Baby Si received a belated birthday present from aunty elly!!!
Thank u soon-to-be mummy Elly...baby Si can't wait to have a new playmate soon...
Eat as much as u want while u still can, sleep as much as you want...and enjoy pregnancy!!!
Soon u will have endless diaper change and sleepless nights... Hehhehehe
Oh and go watch as many movies in the cinema....<~ will advice all preggie women to do so coz that's the only thing I can think of that me n mr. Hubby can't do.... (But we did manage to sneak in a movie when po po came to visit...click here if u miss our first movie date!)

Oh thank you chiu chiu Jeffrey for the comfy pillows too!!! A bit too hard, but after a few days of testing it out, we got use to it.... Better a firm pillow than our old ones which were way too soft and thin... Luckily u didnt throw these brand new pillows out. I guess, a mans trash is another's treasure ;)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the beautiful mothers out there!!! Especially to my mum...

Happy 11 mths old baby Si!!!

Baby Si turned 11 months on 6th march 2013!!!
(10 months post <~ if u missed it)

And we celebrated it in Chiang Mai, Thailand....we as in me, gong gong and baby Si!!! Just the 3 of us as mr. hubby aka baby si's daddy is in sydney australia visiting the koalas and kangaroos (for work), Po Po is in Singapore babysitting her other grandchild (zach ha min) and chiu chiu (uncle Jeffrey) was busy poo poo-ing $hitless nites as he prep for his colonoscopy!!!

This month is a lil different as we couldn't do our monthly family tradition of Polaroid pics :( as this mummy left her Polaroid camera in Singapore :( thus baby Si's Polaroid collection will be one less! *sob sob*

But nevertheless, Hopefully these pics of baby Si will cheer up ur day!!!
It did cheer us up (gong gong & mummy) when snapping these pics... :)

Milestones reached:
. Able to crawl up the steps all by herself
. Able to get up from lying down position to sit up position (like a sit up)
. Able to use her fingers to point
. Able to use the walker without any assistance
. Knows "tou" in mandarin and points to her head
. Knows "pi zhi" in mandarin and points to nose. Took a while for gong gong to teach this as baby Si kept pointing to her mouth!!!
. Able to climb from floor to couch <~ uh ohhh, this means she can escape from her "prison"... Oppps I meant confined space...
. Able to repeat words we say and imitate our actions.
. Learnt flying kiss from a church friend <~ daddy n mummy has been trying to delay from teaching baby Si anything related to K.I.S.S.I.N.G!!! And now she's hooked on it and blowing kisses to anyone and everyone including strangers... Daddy is gonna have a hard time protecting her lil darling :p

This is any mummies nightmare and it happened all within this month :(
.Baby Si roll off the bed when taking her nap with mummy in Singapore (mummy rushed to the toilet to pee and when I came back, I found baby Si on the floor face down with hands supporting her)...usually during nite time, I would put her in her cot after she has fallen asleep...but for her nap, since I was napping wt her, I usually let her sleep next to me with pillows to protect her on her other side. But thank God our bed wasn't that high...low bed frame!
.Baby Si fell off the high chair (since we're in Malaysia, we use zach ha min's high chair which was left here but the safety belt is missing!!!) one split second of turning my back, she was doing the downward dog yoga pose...
.An hour after she fell off the high chair, the kitchen chair fell onto her....oh my poor baby!!!
It happened right in front of my eyes....she was trying to grab onto the highest point of the chair while tiptoeing, and the chair fell onto her....while she fell backwards :(
This mummy rushed to her and picked her up while trying to comfort her.. Baby sienna once again is a trooper....did not cry when she fell...only cried when I picked her up out of shocked. Then stopped after a few secs....
Took me a while to get over the guilt....*bad mother*....
Even harder to break the news to mr. Hubby that his lil precious one was being hurt :(
But once I got over it, "what doesn't break u, makes u stronger!!!"
Our baby sienna is a super sienna indeed ;)

Milestones reached:
. Able to suck n hold her own bottle for drinking water (being a pro at it even though just being reintroduced to bottle)
. Able to wave bye bye, dance, "sayang", "darth vador" voice on DEMAND, "gong xi, gong xi" gesture just in time for Chinese New Year!
. Able to walk with her walker with daddy's assistance (daddy's been giving baby Si driving lessons)
. Able to self feed herself wt puffs.

Baby Si got a present from Tata and Patti (karthik's parents). A 2 in 1 present....piano n a puppy!!! :) Nandri...
this mummy has alwiz wanted a puppy, but not for now as I have enuff diapers to change! Maybe when the kid(s) are bigger ;)

Baby Si: "this piano has been keeping me busy...busy banging on it!!! I make better music just by me banging on it!!! Will I be like all the other Asian oriental stereotype and end up in piano class....?"

Mummy n daddy: "It comes with Spanish lessons too!!! Perfect for baby Si to expand her language skills :)"

Daddy got a shock of his life when he walked into the room (in the middle of the photo-shooting) and saw his lil princess nakey with nothing but a diaper n a hat ;) *tee hee hee*

Now that baby Si is 8 months, Mummy can't wait to feed u and experiment with new foods like Meat, tofu, cheese, yogurt, etc...All the yummy stuff other than just fruit n veggies!!! So that baby Si will grow up loving all sorts of different kinds of food just like mummy ;)

• able to hold a book by herself
• able to repeat words when we talk...happened a few times randomly! Mummy was thinking she's going nuts hearing things... But it has happened a few times on different occasions with different people holding baby Si!

This has been our monthly tradition!
Daddy will make baby Si's banner and mummy will snap snap snap away...

Also ever since baby Si won her first contest, in the solo category, we've been taking her pics using the prize itself... A fujifilm Polaroid camera!!!
Thank u F&N!!! It was an impromptu competition... It started like this. While me, mr. Hubby and baby Si came out from the mrt n walked towards the mall... We were stopped by the F&N ambassadors to take a pic with their banner! We took two pics, 1 to be entered into the family category, and 1 of baby Si to be entered into the solo category. And guess who won??? Our cute Baby Si of course ;)
A note to fujifilm, if u wanna see more cute monthly pics of baby Si, please do send us more of ur amazing polaroid cartridges so we can continue with our fun family tradition!!!

Note: baby Si turned 6 months on 6 oct... But this lazy mummy hadn't had time to blog about it... Hehehehe
I guess her 7 months pic taking is coming soon! So stay tuned ;)

How time just flies... Mummy had already packed away baby Si sets of clothes 0-6mths n out with her 6-12mths clothes :( *sob sob*
Thanks cousin kor kor zach ha min for all the hand me downs onesies... If u haven't yet notice in the pics, most of baby Si homeclothes (onesies) looked boyish!!! Hehehhee....
