Letter to my 2nd born, Skyler Chaw Naga

Since your "jie jie" Sienna got her 1st letter from mommy, it's just natural that you get yours too, my "baby" Skyler!
(Okay, Mr. Hubby aka daddy...just to clear the air, don't be expecting one from me anytime soon yeah??? Lols)

Dear "baby" Skyler,

I know you have grown up but this momma will always call u my "baby" coz you are my LAST baby and I'm in denial to let my baby "go"!

When you were younger, you would not wear anything with buttons!!! 

Thank goodness you've outgrown this phobia n you could wear stylish button ups now...

You cried when mommy took u to your 1st professional haircut at the salon... so mommy took matters into her own hands n has given yours, your sister's n daddy's hair cuts ever since!!!

Since you started talking babyish (unlike your sister who started talking in full sentences since baby), your love language has always been in actions!!! You would kiss me unexpectedly everyday n sometimes surprise me by kissing my butt!!! You use to kiss me with your mouth wide open when u were a baby n thankfully a gentlemen now with your eyes shut n mouth close... sometimes even with tongue...***eeekksss*** Lols!!!

You frequently and randomly tell me "I Love you, mommy" at unexpected places n time like while you are going #2. I guess u think of mommy while poo poo-ing?

You like spicy food just like mommy!!! Hoping u would LOVE even spicier food so we can eat tom yum, nasi lemak n the spiciest buffalo wild wings n keep mommy company on our future "makan"/eating adventure dates together!!!

You are an awesome eater... you eat EVERYTHING n anything!!! You must have Malaysian blood in you n a true foodie (Just like mommy). But you need to learn to ALWAYS feed yourself coz sometimes you want mommy to feed you. And mommy obliged willingly as you are my "baby"!!!

                    

                            

You would look for mommy every morning 1st thing in the morning to wish me "jao an"/ good morning n give me hugs n kisses ... have to remind u to go pee pee first before cuddling on mommy's bed !!!

You always wake up with a SMILE!!! You have smiley eyes (just like daddy) ... You would light up the room whenever you walk in. It makes mommy smile widely just seeing u so happy. You always make my day so colorful n melt my sadness away!

You are a really good dancer ... you definitely didn't get it from ur mommy or daddy (coz they have 2 left feet). You must have gotten the grooves from your sister!!!

Ironically, You have 2 left feet...You would stumble (ever since young), even while walking. Or walk into walls n knock into tables. You walk/run zig zag n would trip other people walking next to you (your "jie jie" Sienna).

You are the drama king in the family. I would have thought it would be your sister.
Since you fumble a lot, you would cry as if it was the end of the world n requiring us to carry you n "sayang" n make us kiss your "boo boo".

You love cars, trucks, bus, trains, n everything with wheels!!! You would bring your favorite car with you EVERYWHERE even make pretend it's ur "phone" n keep it next to you while you sleep!

                  

You adore your sister like nobody's business!!! You like to shadow and mirror EVERYTHING your "jie jie" say and do!!! To the point of eating, even your eating favorite food you would say no if jie jie says no...

                  

You ask for "jie jie" every single day that she started kindergarten... when she's coming home, is she eating the same lunch as you, can you come along to the bus stop to pick "jie jie" up, etc!!!

You ALWAYS ask for another print out at the library so u can bring it home for "jie jie" and color together!

You are very particular n protective about your things!
You just have to have it YOUR way with your things... can't put our stuff on your papers, can't move your vehicle toys when you are lining it up, you keep your toys away once you are done with playing (this mommy approves), etc!!!

Letter to my firstborn, Sienna Chaw Naga

Dear Sienna,

Mommy is penning down these precious memories right before you head to kindergarten...
Oh my, have you grown into a little young lady...

You are the first to grab "di di" Skyler when a car comes close by and scolds him for not holding hands whenever we are in the parking lot.

You are the first to sayang "di di", wipe his tears and ask him to apologize to mommy n daddy whenever he is sent to the naughty room.

You are such a wonderful jie jie but stubborn at times, but that could come in handy as an adult.

You are really mature for your age ever since you were a baby. Mommy feels guilty at times for always asking you to give in to your "di di" coz you are the bigger "jie jie".

You read to your "di di" storybooks n make the story up when you don't know to read the words.

You play the teacher and teach him as if he is your student.

You have never ever baby talk before n have been talking in full proper sentences from when you started talking.

You are "di di's" translator whenever we can't understand what he is saying or when he is crying n mumbling at the same time.

You always like to win n be 1st but daddy taught us to shake hands with each other after a game n say "good game"!

You both hold hands sometimes when you sleep n it just melts my heart.

You kiss each other n hug n dance together.

You always ask me if you get the bigger portion of food n wink at me when we tell  "di di" it's the same portion.

You draw n cut nice arts&crafts telling me it's a present for mommy.

You would clean up your stuff/toys n then tell me you have a surprise waiting for me.

You are so eager to offer your help, whenever mommy and daddy are doing work.

You are Ms. popular at school and all (most) of the girls and boys love being around you, as much as you love being around them

You need to learn from "di di" about his eating habits as he eats almost EVERYTHING...especially eating your vegetables!

You have learnt how to be patient and wait. (most of the times)

You are such a good dancer (think you got it from your Sathya "athai"/aunty!

You can sing and remember the lyrics to many songs especially those on the radio! Thanks to all the long road trips we had...

2 years ago, I introduced you to our "4 babies"!!!

Here's an update on our "2nd eldest baby"...Written by Mr. Hubby on his facebook post (this was the reason why Mr. Hubby couldn't join us on our trip to Busan, S.Korea
Apart from attending his cousin's wedding of course)

"At the end of 2005 I met Jamie, and in 2006 we decided to sponsor together a 4 year old girl in a very remote village in India, our first meaningful "project" together as a couple. For the past 10 years we exchanged letters and photos and she told us how what she bought/did with our monthly payments.

Today I was able to meet Vinotha, now a 14 year old exceptionally warm and pleasant teen, thats doing well in school and an excellent drawing artist and a guitar player to-be. So blessed to be able to see her home and talk to her and just be in her presence.

Definitely something i would love for @jamiechaw to experience, even though it's challenging to get there.

4 babies????

Not only are we blessed with baby sienna and lil bro baby KarMie#2, but we actually have 4 babies in total!!! 2 of which are so grown up now...we had them when they were just kids!!! Now they are teenagers...wowww how time flew by...

Let me introduce them. They are angel yunita (13 yrs old) and vinotha maruthupandi (11 yrs old). Angel is from Indonesia and Vinotha is from India. We chose to "adopt" from these 2 countries as its the closest to where me n mr. hubby originated from. We couldn't find any child to sponsor from Malaysia...we've had them since we were dating and never regretted...it's so heart warming everytime we received letters, pics and updates from them... Knowing that our $$ has been well spent and put to good use!!!

I would encourage each and every one of u to do ur part and help a lil' one in need... 

The world would be a better place if each one of us play a part in it! 

After all we are all gonna die some day...

If $$ is the issue, Just skip ur weekly Starbucks coffee sessions :)
