Europe trip...

So it's mr. Hubby's 3rd time to the DAM...AmsterDAM....
Previous Europe trip blog...click here!

***this mummy jealous much???***
Nahhhh....mummy got to spend bonding time dating my son....
think we walked the whole of Singapore and shop shop shop so much for myself...
that I needed to clear out space in order to make space...
(Note to myself...even told mr. Hubby to remind me...NOT TO SHOP anymore in our
upcoming JAPAN trip!)

Ok back to mr. Hubby's trip...
This time he snuck in another side of Europe...the village life...
where he got to wine and dine like a fine French men among the lush greens and horses!!!
The weather was lovely...
The people friendly... (Although none of the French people spoke English except his British
boss and wife)
And guess what did mr. Hubby do as well just like his previous trips???
Made friends with a bunch of 4 legged friends... ***oh mr. Hubby THE ANIMAL LOVER!!! NOT....***
Even went on romantic walks with them...Just like previous trips...haihhhhhh....
And he tried all sorts of French food...all forms of the duck!!! Foie gras, confit, etc...
Mr. Hubby seems to amazed and surprised me more and more!!!

And he actually liked the foie gras...
Mr. Hubby was kind enough to "tapao" me some foie gras :)
And guess what...I will try everything ONCE....
tried it, and just like "Andrew Zimmer on bizarre foods" would say, "the taste is GAMEY!!!"
Also if u do not know what foie gras is, it's FATTEN duck LIVER!!! The cruelty of being
forced fed till ur very last day...
I will NOT be eating it again...I've seen documentaries and know of it before...
But as I mentioned, I will try everything ONCE!
I have stopped eating sharks fin soup for the longest time...ever since i educated myself...
thus, I banned it to be served on my wedding day and will politely decline when served
at other people's wedding...

So here's the pic of the food haul this trip...
This time not much baby snacks and food pouches as baby Skye will still be on purée
food when we go to Japan!
Mr. Hubby told me that he can mentally know where each item is in the supermarket coz
this is his 3rd time there... So he did his "supermarket sweep" in 30 mins....But ironically
enough, he doesn't really know where items are in our apartment???... O.o .***strange indeed***

Bye bye baby Si!!!

It's been 5 days now that baby Si has been away from her mummy!!!
She is in the safe hands of her "po po" and "gong gong" in Malaysia...
From the looks of it, she doesn't seem to be missing me much and enjoying all the yummy food, pampering and attention showered to her by her grandparents and "chiu chiu" Jeffrey!

This is her first time being away from me... (except for 1 overnight where gong gong took her to her cousin Zach ha-min's place to sleepover - on the other side of Singapore)

Before her trip, Mr. Hubby and I kept prepping her by telling her to "ting hua" and "pu Yao hwai tan"...<- be a good girl and listen to grandparents!
Mummy, daddy and "di di" skyler gonna miss u...

Baby Si kept asking, "today go po po gong gong de jia?" <- am I going to po po and gong gong hse today?
We kept saying, "no, 3 more days...2 more days....1 more day"
Then one day she woke up saying, "I'm ready to go po po gong gong de jia" <- I'm ready to go to the grandparents house...

Then the last night, before sleeping she said,
"Mummy, wo ai ni! Wo Yao Mai Durian for mummy, daddy and di di!!!" <- I love u mummy, I want to buy ur favourite durian for mummy, daddy and baby Skye!

Baby Si seems to know what was gonna be happening!!!
She was all excited to go sit in the aeroplane... This mummy was the one having a hard time saying her good byes to baby Si and mr. Hubby at the airport!!!

Many of you must be wondering how and why she's in Malaysia???
Well..
Firstly coz mr. Hubby went to Amsterdam for 2 weeks business trip (flying via Kuala Lumpur)
Secondly, this mummy came up with a brilliant idea to have mr. Hubby drop Sienna off at KL during his transit.
Thirdly, we will all be going to Japan soon from KL...

Conclusion:
1) Mr. Hubby gets to go on business trip aka vacation
(super jelly!!! AKA jealous that he's getting to eat all yummy food, sightseeing, fly, etc...)
Of course working hard too :)
2) Po po and gong gong n Jeffrey gets to enjoy the chatterbox miss Sienna
3) this mummy and baby Skye gets to go on lots of dates!!!
Everybody WIN WIN situation!!!

By the way, we didn't know how Sienna was gonna cope being away from me for THAT long... (1 month?) so I told my mum to send me a SOS and me n Baby Skye will jump on the next flight to Malaysia :) but so far so good!!! ***fingers crossed***

pic below:

Daddy mentioned that Sienna was striking up conversations with the pax sitting around!!! While enjoying her drink :) she was a trooper even though the flight was delayed due to technical issues, needed to change planes...luggages didn't make it!!! (Oh Malaysian airlines making head news again!!!)
Plus, Mr. Hubby almost missed his connecting flight to Amsterdam with a minute to spare before "push back"! And poor mr. hubby's luggages are still no where in sight!!! Imagine reporting to headquarters and customer's site in the same clothes..."oh dear"!!! <- no pun intended...LOL!

Baby Si busy chatting with the friendly German neighbor while sipping her drink :)

Excited much??? With her trusty snack handbag!!! LOL...

Mummy went shopping for lil miss Sienna even though she wasn't here...
***Still thinking and missing her!***
Btw, her FIRST panties bought (above), mind you...costs MORE than her mummy's!!!
$30sgd for the panties...1 for $6??? Gesssshhhh....
Thank you "Pumpkin Patch"!!!

This mummy has been shopping quite a bit for myself since I haven't been shopping at all!!! Imagine going shopping with 2 young kids??? Nahhhh... I rather sleep!!!
So yeah, with 1 baby, baby Skye, it is SUPER EASY!!! As baby Skye likes to go out, eat, sleep, poop in his stroller :) that was how it was with just me n baby Si last time...

I.am.sterdam...

Amsterdam...

Mr.hubby was fortunate to get to go to Amsterdam not once but twice! First time was back in 2011 when we went on our first Europe trip!!! (Pre baby si days..) I fell in love with Europe as we ventured into Paris, Amsterdam & Frankfurt...we didn't have enough time to conquer Rome, Italy, etc...*hint hint* and don't forget to include London dear mr. Hubby!

So this time me n baby Si just enjoyed daddy's trip via his pictures... Brings back memories! *Reminiscing*!!! We were gonna tag along as daddy was gonna be there for 2 weeks! But thankfully we didn't as daddy said the first day it snowed...and it was really cold...baby Si n mummy would have dreaded it and would have ended being cooped up in our heated hotel room! *bbbbrrrrr* Mr. Hubby was being told that in Amsterdam, it's cold 9 months in a year! That's wayyy too coldddd for wayyyy too long.... Just thinking of it, makes me shiver with goosebumps! Still remember how cold it was when we were there in feb! We had to stop into shops, not to shop but for the heater! And we had to stop for coffee breaks, not for coffee but to warm up ourselves...yeay to me as I love European coffees (they make them good) but boo to mr. Hubby as he doesn't drink coffee...yet he forced himself to chug it just to warm himself!

While daddy was in the Dam, me n baby Si went back to malaysia to visit gong gong, po po and chiu chiu... We even managed to sneak in a short trip to chiang Mai, Thailand just the 3 of us (me, baby Si and gong gong)

Ever since we got together, for the longest time i pestered mr. hubby about having a puppy!!! He gave me baby Si instead (which is of coz wayyyy better) :p But the irony is, this trip mr. Hubby had the cheek to tell me that he's now turned into a dog lover as he fell in love with not one but TWO dogs! And even took them for a long romantic walk on the beach (in the freezing cold!)

Mr. Hubby also had a good time with mr. Pete and his lovely wife Lavada. They were such lovely hosts and even made beef rendang (best ever rendang mr. hubby had ever tasted) and raita.
They are such sweet people... They bought baby Si a dress when she was first born and now onesies...and they haven't even met baby Si yet! I commented that the onesies were so cute and sexyyyyy! Mr. Hubby said baby Si can flaunt as much as she wants but only while she's still in diapers... Or else a big no no to sexy outfits :p *rolls eyes* ... Daddy's little girl...

Thanks to mr. Hubby for getting me my grocery shopping list! It weighed a whooping 23.5 kilos which almost put his luggage over the limit ( a note to mr. Hubby, next time bring 2 check in luggages laaa ) ..Since I couldn't enjoy the sightseeing, the least I can do is stuff myself silly with the yummy food! Baby Si also has her OWN share of yummy goodies...no more sharing with mummy! Hehehhe....btw, the Dutch makes wonderful yummy stroopwaffles!!! It's a one of a kind Dutch specialty...

In the pics: we stocked up on baby Si food and snacks...as we are prepping for her overseas bday celebration to our secret destination! Hope she will eat the prepackage porridge... All these while she only eats home cooked food and wouldn't eat anything that comes in packages...

A side joke: what did the fish say when he hit the wall? Damn the Dam... LOL...
By the way, I didn't come up wt this corny joke, it was given to us by our tour guide when we visited the Hoover dam in Las Vegas!
